Privacy
What we collect, in plain English.
Short, because this site does very little. No advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing sold or shared — but we do measure which pages get read, and you can switch that off below.

Who is responsible for your data
Teknith Solutions PVT. LTD., a private limited company, is the controller of any personal data described on this page. You can reach us at hello@teknith.com or on +91 76240 00415.

Your choice of light or dark theme, in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Where measurement is on, also a random identifier — a string with no meaning outside this site, again in local storage rather than a cookie, so two page views in one visit count as one person instead of two. We cannot work backwards from it to you. Clearing your browser data removes both. There are no advertising or tracking cookies here, and nothing is shared with an advertising network.
What happens when you contact us
What you type in the form — name, email, company if you give one, and your message — goes to this site’s own server and is emailed to our mailbox so we can reply. It does not pass through a third-party form service. The email is delivered by Resend, our mail provider, acting only on our instructions; they are in the United States, so delivery involves a transfer outside India and, if you are in the EU or UK, outside those too. Emailing us directly lands in the same mailbox.
Our server uses your IP address to rate-limit the form — five messages per ten minutes, so nobody can flood our mailbox with it. It is held in memory for those ten minutes and never written to a database or a log.
What we do with it
We reply. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Why we are allowed to
Because you chose to send it. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Teknith Solutions PVT. LTD. is the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal; the basis is the consent you give by filling in a form whose only stated purpose is so we can reply, and you can withdraw it any time by emailing us. In the EU and UK the basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before a contract — or 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering people who ask us something.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not become a project is deleted within about twelve months. If a project starts, the correspondence is kept while the engagement runs and afterwards as long as we may need it — tax and company records in India generally have to be kept for eight years. Nothing is kept “just in case” beyond that.
Analytics
We use a third-party analytics provider to measure how this site is used: which pages and case studies get read, which outbound links get clicked, which FAQ questions get opened, and whether an enquiry was started or sent. We read it to decide what to write more of.
Each of those carries the page address, the random identifier above, the time, the page that linked you here if any, and your browser, operating system and screen size — plus your approximate location. That last one is worked out from your IP address: the provider reads the address your request arrives with, looks it up against a geographic database, keeps the city, and discards the address. The IP is not stored against these events and we never see it. It is approximate — it describes where your connection appears to be, which on a mobile network or VPN can be another city entirely.
What never goes: anything you type. Not your name, email, company or message. There is no session recording, no heatmap, and no automatic capture of clicks we have not listed — every event is one we wrote down on purpose. The provider acts as our processor on servers that may be outside India, the EU and the UK; nothing is shared for advertising, and we do not combine it with anything else to work out who you are. The basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in knowing whether our own website works — which is why there is a plain way to say no instead of a banner. Under the DPDP Act, saying it here is the notice that Act requires.
Your browser’s “do not track” setting and any content blocker work here too — the site carries on without measurement, so nothing breaks if it never loads.
Links out
The address in the footer links to directions on Google Maps. It is an ordinary link and sends nothing until you follow it — there is no embedded map anywhere on this site. Directions start from where you are, but this site never asks for your location and never receives it: Google asks that, on their page, after you have chosen to go there.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, and the database it reads is reachable only from our own servers over an encrypted connection. The admin area behind this site is password-protected with hashed credentials, signed session cookies that JavaScript cannot read, and a rate limit on sign-in attempts. Access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise — if you believe something here is wrong, tell us at the address below and we will look at it the same day.
Children
This is a business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, which is the age the DPDP Act uses. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Your data, your call
You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent. Email hello@teknith.com and a person will answer — we are small enough that it reaches someone who can act on it — within thirty days. That address is also our grievance channel under the DPDP Act; if it is still not resolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your own supervisory authority in the EU or UK.
We hold no special category data, and nothing here makes an automated decision about you. We do not build a profile of you as a person: measurement is read as totals, and there is a button above to stop it entirely.
Changes
If this page changes materially we will update it here and move the date at the top. Worth a look if you are about to send us something sensitive.
